RE: Pictures on the wall

This is the stuff I use:3M Command Picture Strips. Holds pictures firm so they don't swing around when traveling. Have not had one fail yet. AVid

RE: 08 Silverado 2500 DA "built in brake controller"

Your going to love the IBC. Best thing since...well...you know. I had concerns about the bed rail height also...they were unfounded. Everything is just fine. I have a 2008 GMC D/Max Allison. If your Draw Tite worked well for you in the past it will be just fine now. I installed a Reese slider. Have not yet even come close to needing the slider, but I have it just in case. Enjoy your new truck! AVid

RE: Operate jacks and slide from truck battery

I'm with dodge guy on this one. Either the fuse is blown or you never installed one in the under hood fuse center. They are not installed at the factory. AVid

RE: anyway to get more pressure from shower?

There is a water flow restrictor in the shower head. Unscrew it from the hose and remove it. If it was the water filter, the pressure at all the faucets would be low also. Avid

RE: I need camping 101 help

Congrats on your new fiver! I only travel with 5-10 gallons of water in the tank. Saves on the weight. In Michigan state parks there will be a dump station near the entrance that will provide potable water so you can fill your tank. There are also spigots scattered around the park where you can get water if needed. I carry a water thief and if I am close enough to a spigot I can use a hose to fill my tank. The spigots have no thread on them so you can't attach a hose. At last check there are two state parks that have full hookup. We stay at Hartwick Pines State Park every fall and we love it. Enjoy, AVid

RE: silverdo tail gate stuck

Push in on the tailgate as hard as you can. It will take the pressure off the side latches and it should open. That is of course if the latch mechanism didn't break. AVid

RE: 2007 Silverado Brake Controller Cable

If you have the new body style, there is no plug and play cable. There is a blunt cut harness taped up under your dash. Instructions here: GM Tech Link AVid

RE: Water Pump Pulsating - Shower Only

Your shower has a flow restricter built into it. I would suspect that because you aren't using as much water, it causes the pump to cycle. I removed the restricter from mine. AVid

RE: 2005 Yukon XL 2500 tow wiring 12v at truck hitch?

You are right and I corrected my post to reflect that. There needs to be a 40 amp fuse in the stud 1 position. Thanks for catching me. AVid

RE: 2005 Yukon XL 2500 tow wiring 12v at truck hitch?

You need to put a 40 amp fuse in the "Stud 1" position in the UBEC. There is a dummy fuse in there, pull it and replace it. The legend is pasted on the underside of the UBEC cover that will tell you where stud 1 is located. AVid

RE: Dewinterize in Southern Ontario

Is it to early to dewinterize the trailer. That would depend on the temperature going below freezing and for how long it will do so. If you have any concerns you could put a small portable electric heater inside on the remaining cold nights. Remember to leave the lower cabinet door open to allow the warmth to circulate around the pluming. AVid

RE: Engine Temp of New Diesel

Gauge could be wrong...fan clutch no good...low on coolant....water pump low function..restricted exhaust. Good to have dealer check it out, at least get it on record. AVid
